[UPDATE: This offer has expired.]

For those looking to make some quick cash check out the Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card–doing so this summer can earn you $200 in gift cards in addition to other perks.

Between now and August those that open a Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card can earn $200 in gift cards and a 0% APR for 15 months on purchases on balance transfers.

How This Deal Works:

Basically all you have to do is sign up for a card between now and Aug. 31. After making $600 in purchases you’ll then get a 20,000 bonus within three months of opening your account. If your card is terminated then you’ll have up to 90 days to earn your rewards. Once the points post to your account you can then redeem them for two $100 gift cards that can be used at national merchants.

For those of you unfamiliar with the card’s features, the Citi Thank You Preferred Card is a rewards card with no pre-set spending limit. The card also boasts an attractive 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers, which makes the card useful for those looking to consolidate their debt.

The card also features a 6,000 sign up bonus points when you make a purchase of $300 within the first three months, and is redeemable for a $50 gift card. The card also has no annual fee and allows its cardholders to earn $1 for every dollar spent on purchases at gas stations, supermarkets and drugstores for 12 months and 1 point for every $1 you spend thereafter.

Citibank began rolling out its rewards cards back in December as an alternative for customers looking to quickly reduce high interest credit card debt. Its roster of Citi ThankYou Preferred Credit Cards include the ThankYou Premier, Preferred and Prestige.
