We are excited to be reporting from FinovateFall 2011 in Manhattan. For those of you unfamiliar with this event here is a quick rundown of things you should know.

Started in 2007, Finovate is an event bringing together all the innovators and entrepreneurs in the financial field. This week, FinnovateFall is taking place in New York, NY and has started off with a bang.

FinovateFall 2011 Invades New York

With over 1,000 attendees on the first day, FinnovateFall is already shaping up to be a large event especially when compared to the mere 200 attendees during the first conference in 2011.

Attendees get to hear 7 minute presentations from a total of 32 companies and are invited to network afterwards. The MyBankTracker.com loves attending these events to get an inside look of what the future of finance looks like. Already we can tell you, social media is playing a huge part of these new companies and their presentation.

We will be live tweeting and writing about exciting things as we hear them so follow @mybanktracker and feel free to tweet at us with any questions.

Companies We Are Exciting About

Although all companies presenting bring something awesome to the table, some of them are more pertinent to the consumer a.k.a You! We have only listened to the first few of the bunch but already some are standing out here is a list of companies you can look forward to hearing more about in the next few days:

  • Google: Can Google create anything that doesn’t start a buzz? We don’t think so. We are particularly interested in hearing about the Google wallet, a mobile wallet launched yesterday.
  • Credit Sesame: Just launched the first ‘Credit Badge’ program allowing people to share their awesome credit score in a social networking-type way.
  • Segmint: Connecting bank alerts to customers through personalized messages using social networking sites such as Facebook.
