Economist and professor Janet Yellen was nominated Wednesday by President Obama to be the new lead of the Federal Reserve.

If confirmed for the position, Yellen will become the most powerful economist in the world, and according to Forbes, the second most dominant woman in the world (after Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel).
