The good news is that there are dozens of companies that do pay a fair wage to their interns. In fact, there are a lot of companies that pay interns much higher than the median American household income of $53,046. Anyone looking to earn both experience and money at the same time while studying in school, or soon after they complete their degree should know which companies pay a good wage.

Glassdoor, a job career website where employees can anonymously share the pros and cons of a particular business, compiled a list of the highest paying internships by company. The list explored all companies located throughout the United States, but if there is one thing to note it’s that the San Francisco area has the highest paying internships. This is due to the fact that some of the biggest tech companies such as Twitter and Palantir Technologies are located in San Francisco.

Check out the list for yourself to get an idea of which companies pay the most. This may be a good way to decide which career path to take, or where to apply for an internship.
