Celebrities seem to endorse everything these days — from spa clubs to metal detectors. Getting a celebrity to endorse a product is a great way to boost visibility, but does it pay off? Not always. A recent study from the journal, Social Influence, has found that celeb endorsements might not actually be worth the cost. Some celebrities, like Paris Hilton or Justin Bieber, have negative attributes that can transfer onto a brand. Other celebrities, like Tiger Woods, might suddenly get caught up in a scandal and bring unwanted attention to a product.

And then there are endorsements that don’t really seem to make a lot of sense. Whether the product being promoted is totally bizarre or the commercial is jaw-droppingly bad, some endorsements are just downright strange. Here are 10 of those wacky celebrity commercial endorsements:
