  • Chase Bank is also known as JPMorgan Chase Bank. The bank was named after John Pierpont Morgan, a wealthy American banker. Chase has become what it is today, following a complicated history of many mergers and acquisitions of various banks, one of which included Chase National Bank. The bank was named after Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase, whose face appears on the very rare $10,000 bill. Today, JPMorgan Chase is considered one of the “big four” banks in America, which simply means it holds a large percentage of U.S. customer deposits.

  • Founded in 1812 as the City Bank of New York, Citibank is the consumer division of Citigroup. Citibank was one of the first banks in America to implement ATMs in the 1970s. If that wasn't technologically advanced enough, Citibank also registered the Citibank.com domain name in 1991, a few years before the world wide web was even launched. Today, Citibank has over 15 million customers who take advantage of the website to complete banking, credit card and investment transactions.
