Since my account was taken over from Wachovia, I spent hours on the phone trying to correct their constant mistakes. You get excuses, occassional I'm sorry but no corrections unless you contact the corporate office directly (if you can get through.) The local offices try to help but have no authority. On a scale of 1-10 it's a zero! Customer service staff is rude and poorly trained. Account mistakes occur almost every month. On one occassion a checking account was opened in my name without my approval authorization or signature. It took three months to undue the damage although they admitted it was their fault. Promises are broken as quickly as they are made. My account was charged fees which were incorrect and again three months to remove them. I cringe each time I receive a statement knowing that if there is an error (and there often is) I will spend hours on the phone with rude "supervisors" before any action is taken to resolve it.
Wells Fargo is a customer-hostile operation and this branch fits their mold. It took the rep over an hour to open a new checking account and it originally charged over $30/month in fees. When I deposited a big check, they refused to release the funds for 10 days even though it was drawn on the Northern Trust Bank and came from a major investment firm. It seemed very unethical -- why do they get to use my money for 10 days before they release it to me? It clears overnight as an ACH deposit. It's called "kiting a check" and it's supposed to be illegal. Virtually every employee I have dealt with at this branch for different simple services, such as safe deposit box access or depositing a large amount of change, has had a "can't do" attitude and has been sort of rude and dismissive. Go to another bank where they don't withhold your money for a week and a half and treat you with more professionalism than you will ever find at Wells Fargo.
I find charging my bank account every month a joke!!! And on top of that ,you charge when I transfer my money to other accounts , not associated with "Wells Fargo". Then when it comes to my account number; I have to either call or luckily have an old statement with an account number on it, to get my account number. For some reason after all the security I go through signing on, I can't see my full account number ... I needed it to set up a payment, because if I tried to send it out that day using your bill pay, you charge a fee!!!! It's insane!!!! Navy federal is my other bank, and I've been out of the military for over two years now. I still have it because having Wells Fargo ( only because I have a school loan still) is a pain in my butt. And for some reason my tax lady sent my taxes to that account. Navy federal doesn't charge me for having an account, I can see my full account number!!!...they don't charge me for fruitless bill pay payments being sent out that day, either. Anyway, thanks for making life more trouble some than it should be!
