I have been a customer of wachovia for more than a decade, 18 years to be exact. I decided to keep my account when wachovia became wells fargo because i was told i would not be charged any service fees. I recently recieved an email stating that i would be charged service fees each month with certain exceptions. In my opinion it's not fair, i was told i would not be charged but suddenly i am. Wells fargo is going to loose many customers, i doubt they even care. You want us (customers) to pay you all to send our money around the world. This is a joke. Money hungry bastards. I will be closing this account and going with a credit union asap!
Paymt sent in Dec thru BillPay del to wrong address & the co cashed it. I've been trying to work thru the bank since then to get this corrected. Most of their reps don't read notes sent. I did my own investigation & found the co who rec the payment in error, refunded it with 10 days in Dec. So the bank has had the money all this time yet are making me file a fraud claim, have it notarized by both me & the orig intended receiver. I've even sent the proof. So then I sent a ltr to the CEO, he can't be bothered or even have a mgr get involved, it went to a cust serv ctr for response...a canned response. Before that I tried to get a Dist Mgr to help who assured me he would...never to hear frm him again!
So everything was fine. Had an Account for years, rolled over from the old First Union, which then rolled over to Wachovia, which then became the illustrious Wells Fargo. One day, I went into a branch to do my simple banking and I allowed some over pushy sales person to open up a "few" extra accounts for me. "It will save you here, and there and everywhere in between. It will be very good for you, I promise." Never trust a banker. NEVER. So after being gouged with monthly service fees for "not doing this on this date", or "forgetting to transfer this amount on that date", in addition to the fees for each of the 6 additional accounts created, I decided to close everything because of the confusing nature of having to keep track of all of the accounts. Well, closing the accounts has proven to be the most difficult thing in the world and I would NEVER recommend this bank to anyone. Go to PNC. They will treat you MUCH better.
