I have been banking with this company for over ten years now and the screw me every chance they get; hitting me the hardest when I am in a financial rut. I was late on one payment by a week and they were hounding me. I set up a payment with the bank and they took a 100 dollars more than they were suppose to. When I called about the error, I was on the phone for over an hour and transferred at least six times to different departments. At the end of it all, no one was able to help me and ultimately failed to resolve their mistake. In the long run, I ended up paying an extra 35 dollars for their mistake. Needless to say, I am finally switching to Golden 1.
When I turned 18 I opened a bank account with Wells Fargo, and deposited a large amount of $, from graduating HS. Now, I got a debit card, and checks. The checks were more for absolute emergency. Debit Card was for everyday. Soon after opening the account, my check book was stolen. I notified Wells Fargo and they advised me that I would take responsibility for all the money that comes out of my account through checks. I told them to shove their horrific security where the sun doesn't shine. I immediately pulled all of my money out of the account and cancelled my direct deposit. Now that there wasn't any funds, I told them to close my account immediately and I was taking my business else where. Associate stated that she would close it immediately. Now silly child me, I thought she would, but no, a year later I get served with a collection bill for $900 that I DIDN'T DO!...They kept paying the checks, the thief had stolen from me, and now I'm stuck paying the price. This is the worst bank ever. Do NOT open an account with them. AWFUL!! If possible I would give them zero stars. Eff their business!
I used the ATM for a deposit today but no receipt was printed - I specifically used the ATM so I COULD get a receipt. I went inside and was offered a copy of the transaction done by copy/paste into a text document - no letterhead, no time stamp, no account balance - not a receipt in my opinion. The lady standing in line next to me was there for exactly the same reason. The only other option was a hand written receipt OR a print out of my account showing all the transactions for the last three months. I just wanted a simple valid printed receipt. The CS agents were all snarky to boot - why didn't I just understand there was nothing they could do??? I was told I was one of five people who came in today asking for a receipt because the ATM did not print one. If you don't need a receipt for your money, this is the place for you, as long as you are happy you can't later prove you gave it to them.
