jaallender...three words for you

I left Wells Fargo too, mainly due to crappy, rude, unhelpful people. Where Univest is concerned, they've been great. As for your computer issue with Quicken, I'd say its the user. Apparently, you are inept with technology. Read more

Customer service? What customer service?

Lately I've noticed a great decline in customer service at US Bank. They seem to have the least competent people on their payroll. From the branches to phone banking to internet banking. They all have one thing in common: truly incompetent. Read more

Square UP

Have you heard of this ingenious app? Square card reader is a free app on the iOS and andriod marketplace. After downloading the app you can have them send you a free card reader and accept payments that go directly to your bank account from debit and credit transactions. Not only you swipe the transaction with the card reader but you can manually input it into your phone as well. This is a great idea for any small business or even personal use. Can't you think of all those times you had a friend say they would pay you back but didnt carry cash so they siad they would get ya back next time and then you run into the same situation, well now you can get that money sent directly to your banking account using their debit or credit card. Now this sounds really great, right? But I just want to let you know this isn't a free service, when you swipe payment with the reader SquareUP will take 2.75% from the transaction before it deposits it into your account, and if you manually input in the transaction then SquareUP takes 3.5% + and additional 15 cents. Hope this information is useful to someone else and encourages you to try this out and start makin' some money. Read more

where to even consider opening an account this time around?

I am 24, own and manage on my own all matters of a small business. I am on the road for consults most days of the week all over my State of Michigan, as well into others states. Credit Unions dont work for me as then I have to be in the location to handle matters, and service centers they end up having delays, cant do, fees found out days later, and more. Found that out while in NY and hundreds of miles from a nearest such center and needed to handle something to prevent a large fee hitting and despite calling nothing was done. Read more

Big Banks like Wells Fargo are Charging more and more fees

What do you think? We bailed them out in times of need and they turn around and slap us in the face with more fees all in the name of the almighty dollar. Long time customers as well as new customers are feeling that this is too much. They tried their fiasco on debit card fees recently with a mee-too fee like other big banks but that did not pan out because we sent a message that we will not put up with it. So did that deter them, no!!!! So now they are now on a mission once again to try and move the fees to impose Checking fees per month. Now they acn charge rates are even higher as they go along. Should we allow them these big banks to get away with it, I say no! We should band together and send them a message that we will not tolerate their greediness. Everyone of us is trying to survive and pay for a living in these hard times. Their profits for last year showed that they were doing very well indeed. It is not that they are in great despair in their business; apparently, they are not! Shame on these greedy bank executives. Their incessant greed will lead to their biggest downfall. Everyone who banks with Wells Fargo, go out and tell everyone about their new high fees and threaten to close all accounts. Please do something that will help you and make a difference. Send these greedy bankers a sound message! Take them to the bank!! Read more
