Citi is ramping up its efforts to sign new credit card customers - having sent 346 million card offers to North American consumers in the third quarter, an estimate by Mail Monitor of Synovate.

Friends and relatives have been getting incessant amounts of such offers from Citi. Some received the same offer three times in a single week. Most of them were advertising Citi's ThankYour Preferred card.

Luckily I opted out of receiving credit card offers so card issuers can't stuff my mail box.
