If you do not already have chase bank here is my recommendation as to why not to use them: tried to set up automatic car payments. First off the rep i spoke with months ago didn't inform me of extra interest for paying in grace period so i have been loosing money. I'm waiting for a call back from a manager, within 24-48 hrs after being transferred 2 times, 3 employees, including one senior specialist (like css rep) & wasting 1hr 22mins 20seconds.
They cannot allow me to reactivate the checking account i set up 5 months ago until thursday when they process a credit to me under $1 again. The online banking is horrible. Customer service was good until today when i found out about not knowing i'm being charged extra interest and the first two employees should have told me they needed to transfer me because they could not help me. I'm not happy with chase bank!
I have been with chase for years and it is getting horrible by the day! When you call customer service you get a foreigner that you can't understand, and the one who you can understand are not helpful. I can't lie there was a guy in the past that was awesome. But everyone else sucks. This year I have racked up more than $400 in fees and it's only been 6 months. A direct deposit of more than $1000.00 was going in every week. I know that's chump change for you guys. But I'm taking my direct deposit to navy federal. It's sad because I really liked this bank that's why I stuck around for the last 5 years.
Ok, let me start out by saying “i really had chase bank”. I tried to put cash into sons checking account today. I had cash so it would available to him without having to wait. After waiting 15 minutes in line because they only had one teller open i learned that because my name was not on his account they would not let me deposit my money. I explained to her that i was trying to put money in his account, not trying to take it out. She said unless my name was on his account i could not do it. I asked her how i was supposed to get money down to him if i could not deposit into his account. She told me that as of march 3rd it was company policy not to let people deposit money if their name was not on the account. They are trying to prevent “money laundering”. So according to chase bank i could be laundering money $100. 00 at a time. So what we have to do is have my wife put the cash into her chase account and then she can transfer it to sons account. That’s twice the work and headache to get to the same outcome. Come on chase get your head out of your ass.
