5 Years And I Still Love Them!

I love my bank! Yes they have fees if you od or have NSF but what bank doesn't? I travel a lot and have never found a branch with "grumpy" associates. I get my direct deposit a day early just as promised and if i ever did find a "problem" (and all the ones i ever found were me not looking at something correctly) my "home branch" and any other branch i happen to be at are always happy to help and do so quite quickly.

I love the overdraft protection that always helps when the end of the month bills are due and i never feel judged or looked down at when i come in an my account is in the red after using this feature. I have been here for 5 years and was thinking of changing when i moved but i love them to much to go someplace else so i will just have to drive a little extra until i am lucky enough to get a branch in shelbyville.

closed my account without telling me , said my money went to the state, 6 mths later the money is still missing.

Ive had this account for 7 years as a convenient second bank, leaving the minimum 200 in the account to keep it open and avoid any fees.Then in June of 2015, I got my monthly statement in the mail, but this time that the account had been closed. I called customer no service to find that my 200 dollars had been sent to the state (due to inactivity over a period of 2 years) and advised I contact missing funds.org which should have reference of the funds within 60-90 days of closing. Its now Dec 2015, and the money is still not posted to the state website, the state dept has not responded to any mailings, and wood forest says they have no other info that would provide me a way to get my money back (after acknowledging they never sent me advance notice providing opportunity to get it before closing. Wood forest you stole my money and the state has no reference of it. Im reporting you guys this is illegal to not inform me , I didn't die for god sakes you should have notified me.

    Mobile deposit

    Made a mobile deposit took all steps to make a deposit signed check for wood forest deposit only now my deposit is stuck in review no local branches and left with no money over the weekend as my deposit sits in limbo. I called and they said there's issues with there app no time frame of repairs... Why is it every time I call wood forest they sound like getto temp service tellers ?

    Closed Account

    THIS BANK WAS FINE AT FIRST BUT THEY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE.. I HAD MY TAX RETURN SENT TO THE ACCOUNT AND ITS NOT THERE... I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO.

    A disgrace of a Bank

    This bank is like a leech. Whether you spend 6 months with them to pay them checking fees or you try to close your account before then, you will undoubtedly pay this bank more out of pocket then any benefits provided.
    I opened a checking and savings account in Oct 2015. I never used the debt card. I called to close the account in January and was told I had to go into a branch, pay $25, and be sure to deplete the account to avoid another $10 fee for them to send me the remaining balance. When I explained to them I know live in CA and can not go into a branch, I was told that I had to get forms notarized on top of the above fees.
    I just want to close it! Yet it costs more to close this account then it did to open it.…

    Don't waste your time

    I have never banked with second-chance establishments. Now I know why. I've had my account for three weeks. They charged $15 just to have a debit card. Crazy. What's even crazier is that the card was lost in the mail. I called to let them know that I waited two weeks for a card I was told would arrive in less than a week. The rep ordered a new card for me and charged me a second card fee! I was able to get the second fee back, but I had to ask for it.

    I took a check written on a BB&T account to cash it at Woodforest. They couldn't cash it for me because supposedly NO ONE has ever tried cashing/depositing a check drawn on BB&T?? It's only been three weeks,
    but I'm not keeping my account. Thank God I also have a Wells Fargo account. I've had enough of banking on the other side of the tracks. It's far more trouble than it's worth.

    Hours are ridiculous

    What bank closes at 5 all week long but stays open till 6 on Friday's just to turn around and close at 2 o'clock on a FREAKING Saturday!! By far the shittiest branch of Woodforest I've ever dealt with. No wonder so many people are whiching banks. I'm calling corporate. This is RIDICULOUS!

    deli loan ripoff

    Had s stop payment on a check. Check went through and we had $660 before a 1295.00 check went through that wasn't supposed to they took our savings in one acct of 16.18 and 404.99 of money we never spent in the reli acct and put in the corrupted acct and then took my husbands paycheck out of said account and refused to give our money back. The 1295 came out of Reli account and they gave that back but not the 404.99 or the 500.00 that was in account before they screwed up. Now OCC and attorneys are checking this out. Really bad employees and many untrained and uneducated. Beware.

    I love it

    This is the best bank. The people there are very nice and exceed in customer service. They don't see you as a customer they treat you like family. They make sure they remember your name, family members, and important events in your every day life. They make sure that you leave happy. I have never felt comfortable with Amy other bank until I got to this one. Every other bank seems so impersonal that I felt like they didn't care at all fore as a person just the business I brought in. I am so happy to be a part of the Wood Forest family.

    Direct Deposit

    Opened an account 60+ days ago, still am not receiving the direct deposit. Called and EVERYONE said they see deposits "pending". Meanwhile the "pending's" have been deposited in the old bank. Two months of "maintenance fees, ATM fees, from TWO banks. People I spoke too could care less. Guy at local branch said he would "look into it" as soon as he didn't have a line in front of him. They obviously only want the deposits and offer nothing in return. In this day and age, 365 banking is everywhere. People do it at home, at midnight, in their jammies.
