Terrible Customer Service

I came to this branch on 11 June 2016 at 11:30 am (It was a Saturday and the bank closes at 12:00 noon).
I was greeted by a banker, Maria Pearson. I informed her that I'd like to open a checking account and a safety deposit box and I have all necessary documents.
But I was informed by her that I came "too close to closing hours" and she can't help me today and suggested coming in on Monday. Apparently 30 minutes wasn't good enough.
I am sorry, but the 12 noon cut-off is for closing doors for new customers arriving after 12 noon. Any customers already inside, you work with them until their needs are met. This is how banks work, this is how any business works.
I've had my fair share of experience with brick and mortar banks.
But you were too eager to go home right at 12 noon and don't care about your bank's customers. Hence I shall take my business elsewhere, a bank which respects my time. Furthermore I'll do my best to keep the public informed of the Poor customer service your bank offers so they may stay clear as well.Is this review helpful? -

Does not care
Poor communication especially on protocols between branches & corporate, recent changes make banking difficult for the customer, if you get inconvenienced or upset you can't even speak to another person. I was literally told "they'll say the same thing, so it doesn't matter" by a woman at the bank & have been told similar things by people at their customer service number. This bank gives zero f**ks about its customers. After 20 years I've had enough. Don't waste your time or money with this bank.

Excellent customer service, fraud prevention
I have been with Bremer for over three years now. They have excellent customer service, both in the branch and over the phone. In particular I would like to highlight their fraud prevention team as highly responsive and professional. Fraud detection in both cases were almost immediate, and stolen funds quickly refunded.
In addition their online banking features, easy to use bill pay (love it) as well as decent budgeting tools on top of the rest of the traditional features, make it easy to manage my account and my finances.
Though branches aren't as numerous as say US or Wells Fargo bank branches, it's easy to find free ATMs with the MoneyPass Locator phone app, and to deposit checks using the Bremer bank mobile app. Though when I need to visit a branch it's really not all that far out of my way.Is this review helpful?
