Shockingly Unethical
The bank determined that I owed them some overdraft charges on an account that was closed years ago. Never notified me. Over a year gone by, they take the money out of my daughter's college fund account (her account, not mine). They found an obscure sentence in the original account signup form (my daughter, who is now an adult, opened the account while she was a minor.
My wife, not me was an authorized signer so she could open the account) that says the can claim the money (in excess of $500). They are covered legally, but be careful, this bank is NOT small town like they advertise. They are ruthless and perform unethical actions. Read their entire account paperwork before opening an account. Crooks in tough times. As a Pastor in a local church, I WILL be using JTB as an example in future sermons. Miss the small town experience.
