Refused service on basis of discrimination
I was trying to open a business bank account with them and they told us what information I needed, and that I didn't need to bring my business partner, next time I came I had the information but they needed it in a different format and that they did, in fact need my business partner. No biggie.
So I come with my business partner and the information they needed, we arrive at the door and they told us that they weren't open despite the hours being on the door and that they didn't know when they would next be open. Confused we looked up liberty's corporate number and called asking about when they would be open. Corporate told us that they were open and that they would patch us in. We asked when they would be open and the lady said "Were you the two guys who were just here?" "Yes Ma'am" "I'll have to ask you to leave our premises(Were on the other side of the parking lot) and not to come back, and stop calling corporate." "May I ask why." "Because you looked suspicious(hang up)."
Now I was dressed semi-formally and my business partner was dressed casually, but not informally. But my business partner got into a car accident and has a large scar over his eye. Deciding that they won't accept us for ludicrous reasons, I went to their door, pressed the buzzer and asked if they could remove our personal information that we left on a previous visit. They refused, told us they were calling the police and hung up.
Being polite, law-abiding citizens we waiting for the police to arrive(calling the non-emergency number just in case they didn't), told them what happened, and the police had them give us their paperwork of our personal information. The manager there, as she handed us the paper work told us never to come back, despite only politeness on our side. We are not sure if they deleted our information on the computer.
Overall, not only is their customer service subpar in making have to make 3 visits, but after 2 visits with absolutely no incident, on our third visit, because of my business partner's scar, they refused our business in an incredibly insulting way, and there wasn't even an apology after she found our personal information on file not only making us less suspicious, but making her in the wrong for refusing to return or destroy it.
