Hands Down One Of The Worst Small Banks In South Carolina. Very Unknowledgable!
I banked with south atlantic for 2 years up until the beginning of 2013. I started with them because i received a loan from them. Not only did my interest rate rise without any notice sent to me, but the branches and the personal banking there was awful. The employees seemed to not know what they were doing. The loan officers were as clueless as ever after i finalized my loan in 2011. I kept getting transferred from like 6 departments every time i had a question about my loan. Well, that it is fine. I was finally fed up with this bank and i refinanced my loan with another local bank with a better rate. I pulled my accounts out of there too. This bank will probably not last much longer. They have nothing to offer and their employees seem to have had no training in the banking world. Stay away.
