Interest and Rewards
Some checking accounts allow you to earn interest on balances or rewards when you spend with your debit card. TD Complete Checking doesn't offer either.
Whether that makes a difference when choosing a checking account depends on your needs and goals.
If you'd like to earn back a percentage of what you spend, then a rewards checking account could make sense. And earning a little interest on your money doesn't hurt either.
Keep in mind, however, that the more premium benefits you get from a checking account, the higher the fees might be.
Fees
Brick-and-mortar banks commonly charge fees. After all, that's how they make money. Online banks, by comparison, tend to be more fee-friendly.
What will you pay for TD Complete Checking? Here's how the fees add up.
Other Service Fees - TD Complete Checking Account

Linking a personal TD Bank savings account may be the easiest way to avoid the fee. You may want to compare the APY to online savings accounts if you're interested in finding the best rates.

FDIC Insurance
FDIC insurance is designed to protect deposits should a bank fail. It doesn't happen often but when it does, the FDIC steps in to make sure consumers can get at least some of their money back.
TD Bank is an FDIC-insured bank. Your deposit accounts are covered up to $250,000. So you have some reassurance if you're worried about a worst-case scenario.
