easy navigation

I have 14 CD's with ING. They have the easiest website to navigate. It's extremely user friendly. Access to account information, balances, etc are easy to find. New CD's are easy to purchase. While a few offer slightly higher rates, I recommend ING.

Good Experience

I've gotten slightly better online savings rates elsewhere, and I bank a lot of cash so a little % difference is meaningful over time, but I like the ING DIRECT online experience, and their customer service is very good. Super helpful and freindly people answer the phones when you need live-person telephone support. Also, they offer plenty of good short-term CD rates if you ever feel you want to boost the savings rate percentages a bit more.

I've had issues

I read all the comments and thought this was a bank worth looking into. However, they are just a bait and switch bank. I opened a CD with them, funded online and gave them all the information and registered my external account, etc. Yet when I actually saw the rate that they locked my CD into, it was lower than what I signed up for. This is despite the fact they had all the information on my account for over 6 days before they changed the rate. Customer service was useless as well. Once my CD matures, that is the last they will see of any of my money.
