About the Bank

In 1911, a group of nine local businessmen, led by Fred P. Cone, met to discuss business and financing in Columbia County. Their objective: open a new bank that would offer friendly, neighborhood service, good and solid enough to last a lifetime. That bank was Columbia Bank. Opening in February of 1912 with $50,000 in capital, Columbia Bank has grown to be one of the oldest and strongest financial institutions in Florida, with its roots firmly planted in Columbia County for over 100 years.

In addition to the main branch and corporate headquarters located on Hillsboro Street, two other branches were opened in Lake City, as well as one in Gainesville and one in Ocala. From its humble beginnings, Columbia Bank has grown into a solid financial institution. Our combination of local ownership, genuine concern for our communities, and respect for each of our customers sets us apart from everyone else.
