    Iberia's Online Servers are Often Down

    I only check my Iberia account online about once a month. Typically, I can expect about a 60% uptime for the Iberia online server. Almost half the time the system give me a message "We're sorry. The system is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." It happens so often, I'm really not sure why I bother banking here anymore. It's very frustrating that this seems to be completely normal for them.

    Inconciderant customer service.

    After working a stint in Baton Rouge I stopped for cash to fuel up my r/v to get home. The ATM machine was at the Iberia bank on airline highway in Baton Rouge. The machine took my card leaving me stranded without means to get home. Keep in mind my account is in good standing and I've been a customer for well over ten years. When I called the hotline At 6pm I was put on hold for a long period of time then disconnected. When I called back another person answered the phone and straight told me there was nothing they could do. Even after I told him I was out of town with no other means for paying for fuel to get home. Not once did anyone offer a service repair man to respond or anything else. Kind of pathetic In this world of technology. I'm sure assistance could have been offered or at least a flat out can't help you. I'm sure if the CEO had a problem the repair man would come out or been fired. I'm closing my account first thing tomorrow morning just for the rudeness of being put on hold then being hung up on. My time is more valuable than loyalty to any corporation who views people as a herd instead of individuals.

    Like the employees hate online banking

    It was a recommendation, but I will quit my accounts with Iberia Bank. Its the worst online banking I ever used.
    I really like the employees at our branch here in Cape Coral, but this online banking shows errors and errors. It was a ride to hell to get it going, and it brings me errors almost every day.
    Im really sick of it.
    I cannot recommend this bank to anyone who wants to use online banking.
    If you only do business at the branch you like, its okay. But I need a fast, good and WORKING online banking feature!

    Rude

    Tried to cash a payroll check drawn on this bank not only would they charge me to cash their check but the teller was even rude about it. Not going to be doing any banking here

    Can I give Negative Star Review?

    We have banked with Iberia for about 15 years. Between our salaries and business we have a lot of money going through there. Finally closed the last account down today. We have always had an overdraft protection limit of $3,000. With the new rules there is no numerical value to what the overdraft protection limit is, if they chose to give you one. And that choice is made daily. Because I was planning on closing the account I have maintained a very low balance in case any pending posts come through or remaining checks. Low value checks were posted last night after 5 (too late to transfer any money) so the bank returned them this morning even though I put enough money in the account this morning to cover them. I also just deposited the check from selling our house in the other account that I had transferred from. Used to be a loyal bank, now it's not worth the paper the checks are wrote on.

    Seemingly very unorganized.

    I have to work a lot in the New Orleans area, yet I live in Northern Alabama, and the only bank account I had prior was a local credit union, which meant I couldn't use a bank while I was away for work. The only reason I chose IBERIABANK (even after all of the concerning issues), is because it is the only bank that has branches in both my hometown, and New Orleans (aside from Regions, which I refuse to use as every single person I know has constant issues with Regions).

    So, I applied online for an account which was simple enough. After I applied, I received an email from them, saying they needed a copy of my driver's license and a copy of a certified piece of mail to confirm my identity and address. Okay, a bit of a hassle, but understandable. I called the customer service number to ask if the documents I was going to provide were adequate, the man told me it was OK, and gave me his personal company email to send it into. I thought this was a kind gesture, thinking he would go ahead and process my information immediately himself (I was wrong). Instead, I waited two days for an email back and never got one. I called the number to see what was going on, and the same guy answered. I asked if he received the email, he stated that he did receive it and somebody should contact me 'shortly'. I then waited three days and was never contacted. So, I called again, and the guy recognized my number and answered, calling me by name frantically (he probably knew I was going to be pissed), and before I had a chance to say anything, he said "I'll process this right now and send you an email". Sure enough, he did it within five minutes, and in the email was some paperwork I needed to sign and send back. Signed it, scanned it, emailed it back to him, and asked if I would be getting a debit card or if I needed to order that separately. He assured me that he had placed an order for a debit card.

    On the paperwork, it stated that someone will email me separately to give me my online banking login info. I waited another 3 days for this and never received it, so I had to call again, thankfully a different person answered and sent me my info immediately. It also took about 3 days after sending the paperwork for my deposit to go through my primary bank.

    I still don't have my debit card; I'm sure I will have to make another call.

    It's not necessarily bad customer service, everyone I spoke to was very friendly. It just seems to be like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. Hopefully once I receive my debit card, everything will be fine.

    I also want to point out that this is just a simple checking account, as simple as you can get really. No savings, no interest, no credit, no loans, just a plain old' checking account.

    Fees

    The Iberia Savings Bank is the worst by far....Steer clear of Iberia Bank they will pour water on you an tell you it's raining! Zero customer care.. Dealing with Iberia Savings bank is like dealing with a loan shark.. They not out to save you money they out to take what they can get an leave you penniless!

    Best bank ever!

    My wife and I received a mortgage through Iberia. The customer service was above and beyond. A year later we went to the same bank for a home improvement loan. The mortage loan office remembered us and details from a year ago. He personally took us to a lender and we were in and out with in 20 minutes. We decided to switch from Bank of America (the worst bank ever!) to Iberia because how personal the entire staff is.

    Very poor and unprofessional customer service

    I went to the Bentonville, AR branch to apply for a mortgage. I had told the bank mortgage representative that I wanted to talk to someone who would take my concerns seriously. I was only seeking pre-approval at this point. The representative made all kinds of promises over the phone, yet only lied to get me in there. She started running my credit score while I filled out a form. She had her mind made up before I even got finished with the form.. a big, fat, no. She got instantly snotty with me and did not take into consideration income, time at work, or anything else that should be taken into consideration and seemed very pleased to look down her nose and tell me NO. Extremely vicious behavior, no help whatsoever. I have always paid any mortgage and will continue to do so.....but NOT WITH THIS BANK. You lost a potential customer.

    unethical

    My wife and I got a Home Equity line of credit with Iberia Bank. We recieved emails about the fees and interest rate, everything was fine until we show up to sign the documents then the loan officer says there are extra fees we forgot to tell you about!! She said it was an oversight.. it just seemed unethical ...we were not told about additional fees until we were there to sign the papers. DON'T use Iberia!

    Madison, AL branch ill equipped to deal with international wire transfer

    As I receive money as my salary from a company overseas, I opened a bank account with Iberia in Madison, Alabama with Kimberly Hardee. However, Iberia Bank rejected both international transfers that my company attempted to send to me bank account, with the international wire department unable to access information on why the transfer was rejected. As I am also located overseas and calling is tough due to time difference, my main form of communication with Kimberly was via email and communication was shoddy, at best. I supplied all the information that my company and my company's bank had recorded in the transaction, however Iberia bank still wasn't willing to look into either of the transactions (i.e. whether or not the bank received the money, whether it was rejected, anything that could help me make an informed decision). Extremely inflexible and unhelpful. After the second month of this, I politely stated my concerns that my case was not being handled as it should be considering that Iberia is ultimately rejecting money without stating any reason why, meaning that the sender is having to eat extra international fees. And I asked if there was someone else I could speak to regarding this - no email response since. A poor excuse for a bank and a very low level of professionalism. Credit unions with a total of three branches are better equipped to receive incoming money internationally.

    The worst personal banking experience I've ever endured!

    My debit card stopped working so I had to order a new card. I was informed that it could take up to a MONTH to receive! And if I wanted it to be rushed (2 weeks) they would charge me $15!!
    I went into the bank to reorder checks; two weeks later I called and was told there was a gliitch in the system and that they were never ordered. NO Apology.... when I requested that they put my order on a rush I was told that they would again charge me an additional $15!!

    The location of my bank is on Congress Ave, Boynton Beach, FL.

    The only positive thing I can say about Iberia is that the teller I go to, Diane, is always super sweet and curtious.

    Horrible Bank

    My son was 17 and was working so he opened a checking account, because of his age i had to be on his account. When he turned 18 i thought my name was off his account apparently not. My son got scammed $2000 and had to pay the bank back, because i was on his account it fell on me as well. Talk to this lady which i will keep her name out of it do to i have a few other names for her anyway my son made a commitment with her and did not keep it. I told ****** that if he did not pay to call me and let me know. Instead of calling me she took $1600.00 out of my account just like that. I called her back several times telling her that i would make a commitment to her that i would pay back that they could take so much out of my account every month. My deal is they accept a commitment from someone who does not even have a bank account, and will not take a commitment to get the money paid back from someone who does have an account and they can clearly see that we have the money to pay, so they cant work with me but they damn sure can take money out of my account. Apparently i was responsible to but they had no desire to work with anyone. They person i talked to several times was very unprofessional and lied to me several times. The customer service was bad. i do not recommend anyone use this bank. If you are over drafted, scammed, or identity theft has happened be prepared this bank i promise is not going to have your back. I wish customer service rating had a 0 a 1 is even way to good to them.

    Worst Customer Service Experience Ever

    I had an issue, I called and spoke with multiple reps, none seem to care about fixing it. Did not feel like a valued customer. The support pointed blame at me, took no responsibility and offered no solution. Very disappointed with this bank and not the type of service expected. Would not recommend this bank, nor do I plan to stay with this bank.
